1. This Sunday is KidSpace from 3:30-6:00. Always a fantastic time. Inflatables, dunk tank, ice cream, and a great stage show designed for both parents and kids alike. Great opportunity to invite friends and neighbors.
2. We have a team heading out to Kenya in two weeks to love on our kids at Cheppema. Our friends in Kenya have sent us a varied list of needs that the team is trying to gather before heading down there. If you want to knock some of the needs off the list, check it out here.
3. Many of you know and love our worship pastor, Stephen Claybrook. He and his wife, CC, are adopting a young boy, Henry, from China. Any adoption is incredibly expensive. However, with China, the normal waiting process is 2-3 years--giving families at least a little ramp up time to raise funds (though still a TON of money no matter how long you have). But, since the Claybrooks had opened themselves up to the possibility of receiving a special needs child, Henry (who has spina bifida) was matched with their family within a couple days. Therefore, rather than having 2-3 years to raise the necessary funds, now they have 6-8 weeks before going to China to bring Henry home. That's incredibly exciting, but it's also significantly put a crunch on raising $25K. So, friends of the Claybrooks have rallied together to put on an incredible benefit to help, HENRYPALOOZA.
